Subject:Need help with Asian antique incense burner and teapot
Posted By: James hoge Wed, Feb 24, 2021 IP: 2600:1017:b40c:1d9d:

I recently bought what I believe to be a 19th century Chinese incense burner and 19th century Japanese tea pot. Can any one help me learn more about these pieces and translate the markings on them?

Pic.1 (Incense burner)
永利 点銅 - Yŏnglì Diăntóng

Was made by the famous tin maker Yán Yŏgli 顔永利 in Guandong at the end of the Qing Dynasty or at the beginning of the Republic.

Diăntóng 点銅 means that the tin content is more than 70%.

Pic.2,
Marking is not enough clear to read.

Pic.3,
福 - Happiness

Withregards,
I.Nagy

Wow I can not thank you enough that is great to know! I tried taking some more clearer pics of the marking in pic 2. Any ideas?

Thank your for the pics.
The contours of crowded characters are very fuzzy -
I can't decipher them.

With regards,
