Subject:I would like some help to date and Help with signatures
Posted By: Arun Khatri Sat, Jan 30, 2021 IP: 47.205.110.144 Bought this somewhat intriguing frame. Even though the overall frame size is only 10 inches x 13 inches, it is very heavy. I have not opened the frame. I am guessing that what is behind the two ovals is a slab of stone and not art. The text will shed some light on this. looking that the frame and the back it looks like a few decades old. However since there is the matt cutting it may not be too old. Thanks in advance.

Posted By: I.Nagy Sun, Jan 31, 2021 They are marble plates behind the ovals veined and pigmented by various iron oxides or sedimentary layers. They are called dream stones or travel stones found in Yunnan province. The words "dream" and "travel" are understood as terms for the soul's mystical journey.
