Inscription in Japanese katakana syllabary reads,
ブルッヘマンス - Buruhhemans
Transliteration of foreign name, which originally could be;
Bruchmans, Bruchmanns, Bruggemans, Bruggemanns etc.

With regards,
I.Nagy

The characters are displayed upside down.
It is Japanese Katakana writing, see 1st picture:
ブルツ Burutsu
ヘマンス Hemansu
which is translated by the Google translator as: "Brutz Hemans", where Hemansu might mean "Hermans" or "Helmans".

This did me think about an earlier post on this forum with Kanji characters with the name Heiruman, of which I.Nagy wrote (see 2nd picture):
"Heiruman seems like rewriting a foreign name into Kanji. The name might be Herman(n) or Heilman(n), perhaps a hotel or restaurant with one of the above names, which might have get a whole service kit from a Japanese maker".

So perhaps the 2 marks have a connection (part of the same kit) and might I.Nagy have an additional explanation.
Regards,
Martin.
