Subject:Chinese Monochrome Bowl
Posted By: Steve Gridley Tue, Dec 01, 2020 IP: 96.244.150.12

I need assistance in identifying the six character mark on this cobalt monochrome bowl. I believe it is period Qing Dynasty. The bowl is well potted and measures 8.5cm tall and 20cm across the top.

The six-character mark is read down and across from the top right in two stacks as 中王國賈波氏 - Zhong Wang Guo Jia Bo Shi - "Jia Bo Family Middle Kingdom". This contemporary Chinese porcelain factory was founded in 1998 at Jingdezhen and is noted for making some very good reproduction and art porcelains (see link). Bo Jia, namesake of the kiln, is one of the founding partners. See Link below, along with some of these wares I've collected.

Best regards,

Bill H.

Thanks Bill! And thanks for photos of additional pieces. They do make nice porcelain.
