This hand carved Jade,I think, dagger is 13 inches long. Any Info would be very much appreciated

Yes, this is an ancient dagger, made for tourists and is now most likely more than 40 years old. A scratch test will tell you more.

Hi Steve,
In my opinion your dagger is not jade. It's serpentine.
It's a modern interpretation. Very common akin to tourist type wares.

Hello there,
it's carved out from some local (countryside) cheap stone in a shape of an ancient saber.. with a dragon decoration... very very kitch and (a..y) but also very modern... good chances that it is the work of some village idiot who sought to sell it to more idiot than himself... Karma !

Obviously it has been made with modern tools and has been machine polished... craftmanship is crude and simplistic. The perfect gift for your worst enemy or to be used as dust collector.

This make me sooo curious : where have you found such a rarity ?
