Posted By: Roger Wed, Oct 28, 2020 IP: 2601:281:c202:b68a:8

Hi All,
I would greatly appreciate any help in translating the signatures and marks on this Japanese Woodblock print. I did not show the subject of the woodblock as it is erotic art. Thank you!

Title cartouche,

てっぽう - Teppō - Rifle (Low class prostitute)
Signature,
哥麿筆 - Utamaro-hitsu - Brush of Utamaro
Marking of original publisher,
山一の ? - Yamaichi no ? - I can't identify it
Marking of reprint publisher (Left lower fringe),
内田版 - Uchida-han - Uchida version
Uchida publishing was founded in 1919 specializing in ukiyo-e reprints.

The original was published; 1794-1795

I think your reprint is not really old.
