Subject:Need help identifying the figurine
Posted By: sylvia Tue, Oct 20, 2020 IP: 97.125.254.58 I have this figurine which I believe to be Chinese but not sure. I would like to know when it was made and by whom and if possible, what represents. Thank you!

Posted By: Bill H Wed, Oct 21, 2020 The figurine, probably a contemporary Chinese product, has on its robe the circled character 'wu' (午), which is the 7th earthly stem in the shared Chinese Japanese and Korean zodiacal cycle, symbolizing the Year of the Horse. Thus your figurine is a representation of an anthropomorphic horse, probably one of a set of 12 such animals held in high esteem by many astrology-conscious persons born under their signs, not only in Asia but around the world.
