Subject:Celadon plate help old or new please?
Posted By: John Wed, Oct 07, 2020 IP: 2607:fb90:3123:f:d98

Any idea on age and origin) Korean or Chinese?) or why there are metal pegs sticking out the bottom? I tried to google it with no luck at all. Thanks in advance for any education on this object.

Imitation Southern Song dynasty Ge or Guan ware, which are types of celadon. The original ware would not have had metal kiln supports but rather small scars from clay supports, which are often referred to as "sesame seed" marks.
