Posted By: Vasile Wed, Sep 23, 2020 IP: 2601:204:cf01:74f0:3

Hi,

I would love to have any information regarding this antique calligraphy. Who made it, what era, or even what could be written ?

Thank you.

This calligraphy is Japanese,
Starting seal (Right upper corner),
達人大觀 - Tatsujin daikan - A great mind sees far
Title,
忠恕 - Chuujo - Sincerity and consideration
Signature,
七十七翁年作 - Nanajunana ōnen-saku - Written by the 77 years old man
Upper seal,
猪飼高博 - Ikai Kōhaku (or Takahiro) - Surname and given name
Lower seal、
希文 - Kibun (or Kimon) - (Rare text) - Pseudonym

Unidentifiable calligrapher,

With regards,
I.Nagy
