It is Chinese,
Colophon reads,
辛卯夏日　-　On a Summer Day of the Year of Metal-Rabbit (1951)
雪濤冩　-　Painted by Xuetao
Seal,
雪濤長年　-　Xuetao well on in years

Wang Xuetao 王雪濤　1903-1982
Famous modern flower and bird painter. Native of Cheng'an, Hebei.Served as the president of Beijing Painting Academy etc.

I was just wondering if you know someone who can proof the authenticity of that painting.
I don’t think that it’s real, probably just a copy but would like to know.
