Subject:Ming? Celadon dish
Posted By: Sally Mon, Aug 03, 2020 IP: 85.255.233.70

Hi, I've been told this is from the Ming dynasty , which I'm perfectly happy to accept. It's 26cm/10" across, the inner part of the dish is very worn , the glaze rubbed to matte and the decoration of flowers obscured. Is it possible to more accurately date the dish? Could it be earlier or later than Ming? There seem to be a lot of survivors of this type of pottery around , this one seems very robust , heavily potted, and apart from the glaze is undamaged. Thoughts and opinions welcome.
