A solid and well-carved jade stamp of a “chilong ” ( dragon ) with a Chinese word . Would appreciate if someone could translate it to English. Measures length 2.25ins, width 1.75ins and height 1.25ins. Probably Ming/Qing. Comments are welcome.

I am not a professional but I do not think any object is jade.
I think it is a heated stone in order to create cracks and that the cracks were then filled with bleach. they are very regular. the sculpture has a softer stone aspect than jade and it does not have a chalky aspect ... iridescent ... I do not know what term to use.
I think the sculpture is recent. the lines are straight, the curves and the mountains are cut with a billhook.

and under the seal I see marks of dremel

this is a very complicated matter in which our Western experts have difficulty in understanding. jade is cultural, it's difficult when you haven't been in it when you are young. for me the hardest part and even still is to determine if the jade is exceptional or not. which helps well to spot the real antique jades because one should not forget that the emperors were the equivalent of the king and wanted the rarest and the most beautiful. especially for jades prior to the hans. because even the notables were not.
do not hesitate to contact experts in asia, they are very cordial and have all answered me in detail, they have given me a lot.
something else that I keep in mind: the jade was ceremonial had to sparkle in the light of the oil lamps, what is also important is that they were polished at the beginning with garnet powder and other so-called precious hard stones, the aspect is specific. an expert once also told me to look at the crowns and the larger areas of polish, the current tools create flats and cut angles which are much more limited now than when the carving was manual the lines created bite the stone less.
