Subject:strange porcelain tea pot?

Does anyone know what this is? It is about 2cms high and 9cms long with a hole one side and a spout the other. It looks Chinese?

Not a teapot but likely a Chinese water-dropper for a scholar's desk. Its pattern doesn't look very traditional to me, but this piece just could be newer Chinese. Below is a link to another one of similar form from The glaze is like one used by the Shiwan Kilns in the suburbs of Guangzhou (formerly called Canton in the West) and home of the famous 'Mudmen'. This oxblood dropper may be a little older, but not earlier than 20th century I think.

Best regards,

Bill H.
