Does anyone know the translation of this chinese stamp and how old these might be? There are two of them, they are heavy and about 11" high. Thank you

Such crackle-glaze ceramics and this painting style were in vogue during the Guangxu period (1875-1908), as was the apocryphal mark of 'Made during the Kangxi Reign' (康熙年製 - Kangxi Nian Zhi). The bird depicted amidst the prunus and peony blooms is a magpie, which was the favorite of the Dowager Empress Cixi, who was the power behind the throne when the Guangxu Emperor occupied it.

Here's one of a pair of 8-inch crackle-glaze baluster vases with 'Romance of the Three Kingdoms' theme and apocryphal Ming Chenghua mark for comparison.

Best regards,

Bill H.
