The apocryphal mark reads down and across from the top right in Chinese mandarin pinyin as 'Made during the Xuande Reign of the Great Ming Dynasty' (大明宣德年製 - Da ming Xuan de nian zhi). The 'de' (德) character used in this mark is anomalous to the period, when the variant '徳' was used in reign marks.

Best regards,

Bill H.

The apocryphal six character mark reads,
大明宣德年製 -
Made during the Xuande reign of the Ming Dynasty

Xuande; title of reign 1426-1435 of the 5th emperor of the Ming Dynasty.

With regards,
I.Nagy
