Subject:Bronze Censer - Ming ?
Posted By: Peter Mon, Jul 20, 2020 IP:

I've recently purchased a bronze censer, which, according to my research, appears to be a Ming dynasty piece.

I'd be very grateful if any experts out there would be willing to give their opinions (and the approximate age) based on the attached pics.

The lid is made of wood and has a carved finial which appears to be a dragonfly or similar insect.

Many thanks for your help !!

The form is Japanese. Likely 19th century.
