Subject:Help with translating Suzuribako inscription

Hi,

I have this old, well, relatively speaking, Japanese lacquer suzuribako. I've been quite curious about just what the inscription reads as the seller I bought it from a while ago talked about "in memory".

Any help/insight is welcome,
