Subject:Help identifying and possibly translating script
Posted By: An Egg Tue, Jun 30, 2020 IP: 2a02:c7f:7eb4:8100:d

Hello there, and thank you in advance. A friend of mine has an old room-divider screen in their house, and wanted help identifying which language is written on it, and possibly translating it.

Could someone possibly do this? Image is included in the post.

It is Chinese,
Reading and my rough translation of inscription,

霓裳一曲説千鐘
沉酔人技雨露濃
影賦新詞擬顔色
佗手太液對芙蓉

The *Song of Raiment of Rainbows and Feathers
(A piece of Nirvana)
Talks for thousand cups of wine
The drunken man is in sweet love
Which appears in his newly written poem where he likens her color of face
and her hands to the lotuses of *Taiye Pond

* Song of Rainment.. Is the title of a Tang dynasty song
* Taiye Pond was the name of a lotus pond somewhere in the area west of the Forbidden City

Unknown poem,

With refards,
I.Nagy

Thank you very much! There was also another set of symbols on there that was not uploaded the first time due to an error, and I was wondering if they also had some meaning?

This script reads,
貴妃醉酒 - The Drunken Concubine

Title of a Qing dynasty Peking Opera

With regards,
