三萬里河東入海
五千仞岳上摩天
Thirty Thousand li to the east the *river enters the sea
Five thousand fathoms uphill to the *sky
* Yellow river
* Huashan (Mt.Hua)

Signature and upper seal,
景賢 - Jing Xian - Surname and given name
Lower seal,
津門軛行 - Jinmen (Tianjin) E(Yoke) Row

These two lines are citations from the Song dynasty poet Lu You.

Have pictures of enveloppe in which the couplet was given.
Could you translate the writting on it.Mabye it could tell some more about the calligrapher.

Bold characters,
対聯 - duilian - antithetical couplet
(On the envelop the character "聯" is written in it's simplified form)
Beneath you find the same couplet written horizontally.
