Subject:Antique w/c Rabbit, can you read the signature please?

Hello,

My question is about this (possibly) antique w/c painting by Asian artist. Depicting a running bunny, it is a w/c (I think) on paper that was glued to lacquered thin board, size of 13 x 17 inches. Signed by the artist in top right corner and then stamped with Y-looking monogram ...??

I acquired it rather for fun from one private collector in California just because we have a bunny living in our house and I thought it would be a good match for a bunny to have art hanging in his cage too (just kidding!). The collector kept saying this possibly was done by important Japanese artist but I am not sure if this is a fact ..... I just hope somebody here can read the signature or recognize the artist.

Thank you in advance.
Cyril.

The inscription,
兎 - Usagi (Japanese) Rabbit
It looks like a zodiac ink-painting.
The identity of the artist cannot be established from the "Y" monogram.

With regards,
I.Nagy
