Subject:Translation request
Posted By: Marie Sat, Jun 13, 2020 IP: 2a02:a451:bef4:1:a4c

Dear All,
I hope everyone is safe and well.
I would be very grateful if someone would be able to provide me with a translation about the Chinese writings on a porcelain tile, in my grandfather's possession (pictured). Age unknown. As far as I know, it's depicting a scene of Daoist immortals with 2 children carrying the peach of immortality. Daoist immortals weren't worshipped in temples, but a common design motif in many Chinese arts and crafts, images being placed on tables at birthday parties, etc.
Thank you for your help. Wishing you all good health, in line with the message of this tile. - Best, Marie

慎言仁冘先生 雅玩 - To the Prudent Master Ren Yin for your refined enjoyment
秀峰敬贈 - With compliments from Xiufeng

With regards,
