Subject:Cloisonne Jar Identification
Posted By: Brian H. Sun, May 17, 2020 IP: 2600:8802:5700:718:e

Hello,
This cloisonne jar with lid has been in my family for a long time. I was wondering how old it is and if it has any value?
It appear to say Ming on the bottom but I wouldn't think it is that old.

Thank you for any help you can provide.

Your cloisonné ginger jar probably dates to the 3rd quarter of the 20th century. Best I can tell, the handwriting on the base features a number at the top (9?.81) and 'CHINA' below it.

Best regards,

Bill H.

Thanks Bill, it says Ming on the base, not China. I know it’s not Ming.
