The whatever-it-may-be figurine appears to have a mark of 'Made by Zhu Yitai' (Zhu Yitai zao - 朱義泰造), an artisan indicated online to be Republic-period but some of whose products look like they may be later.

The plate appears to be Japanese.

Figurine (Chinese),
朱義泰造 - Made by Zhu Yitai
(I took the second character as the abbreviated form of 義 - but could be something else)

Plate (Japanese),
笑ねこ - Warai neko (Laughing cat)
Arita product

With regards,
I.Nagy
