Subject:Ming/porcelain vase
Posted By: Jess L Mon, May 04, 2020 IP: 2001:8003:c828:e000:

Hi I'm after any information about this vase and possible time period it was made. It has the Lingzhi fungus mark but no date as to when it was made.

This would be called a 'Phoenix tail' vase, and has all the earmarks of being a blue & white piece, which was made in China during the Qing dynasty Kangxi period (1662-1722) and then was 'clobbered' with polychrome and gilt decoration after being exported to Europe.

Appears to be quite a good find, but still needs to be evaluated hand-on by a professional. Christie's, Sotheby's and other major auction houses usually offer 'auction potential' appraisals free of charge via links on their websites.

Meanwhile, here are some links to additional information.
