Subject:Looking to buy a blue white Chinese vase - modern replica or antique ?
Posted By: Polka Dot Sun, Apr 19, 2020 IP: 81.185.167.82

Hi guys,

I'm looking to buy a medium sized (around 30 cm hight) blue white Chinese vase and was wondering if it is better to buy a modern replica or an antique. I'm not into a period in particular, just looking for a vase in good condition and of good quality. Do you know any websites where I could buy it ? Also, I have a max budget of around $3000.

Thanks a lot!

In my opinion you should buy a genuine antique/republican period one rather than a new one. Depends on what style is to your liking etc.
I would look at perhaps sotheby's, christies or bonhams. Failing that a respected/known dealer.
