Subject:Request your help on identifying Japanese Teapot
Posted By: Roger Wed, Feb 26, 2020 IP: 2601:281:c202:b68a:7

Hi All,
Here's a nice little teapot. I've had no luck identifying the mark on the base (Fujisan?). I'd greatly appreciate your thoughts on this. Also, how old do you think it is? Thanks much!

The mark reads: 輝山, which might be Kizan in Sino-Japanese reading or Terashiyama in native Japanese reading. Both artists are possible.
I think it's Terashiyama, because Kizan was an artist working for the Yasuda company and had the Yasuda logo and the Shimazu crest (cross within a circle) together with his signature.
Date: around 1920.
Regards,
Martin.
