The mark reads: Satsuma 薩广 Hododa 保土田, with a short form 广 of the Kanji character "ma" 摩.
Takichi Hododa (or Hotoda) was a Japanese merchant, exporting among others of Satsuma ware,
painted by others. Main production period: 1890-1920.

It would have been nice if we had a photo of the object itself.
