Dear I.Nagy,

When I posted this post I did not mention that I got the painting about 20 years ago, my bad, so I found a painter with the name of Liu Jirong [1931-2016] is that the same painter as the painter of the bird and bamboo painting?

URL Title :Liu Jirong

Dear Leonel,
The painter Liu Jirong (1931-2016) you can find on the net, writes his name 劉濟榮.
Our Jirong is 継榮 and not 濟榮
If you got it some 20 years ago, it simply means that this Fire-Monkey year belongs to the previous 60 years cycle - i.e. 1956.
I assume that our Jirong was simply a Chinese student at the Yale University with some artistic inclinations.

With regards,
I. Nagy
