Subject:Chinese white jade(?) porcelain guanyin figure
Posted By: Stefanie Riedel Mon, Jan 06, 2020 IP: 2003:cf:ff0a:9600:e8

I have bought this figure (you can see below) which shows Guanyin.

It looks very nice to me. Although I thought it is porcelain, because it was described as, after a long looking at it I think it is much more closer to Jade.
Is this right? Or is it another stone from made by?
If jade, could this may be the special jade from Dushan(China)?

Thank you very much in advance for replys!
Stefanie

Ok thank you. I have not found any porcelain guanyin in white which has looked like this.
Can anyone give me pictures of something of this icy look porcelain on asian themes figures? Thats why I guessed that it must be another material.
And there are some jade figures which had more similarities.
The picture shows a piece of dushan jade in white.

I am not sad, because i do not collect jade wares.
But I like it very very much, so no problem at all.

Hi: )

I just want to say that it is clearly Porcelain and not jade, what I have guessed first. So you are definitely right.

I got it yesterday with the parcel service.

To me looks like blanc de chine porcelain, or isn't it? And from China? The process of manufacture appears not very european, when I look at the inner downside.

What would you think what it is? And the age of it?

Thank you very much for replying, and best regards :))
Stefanie
