Can anyone tell me anything about this vase and the base mark please? Any other information would also be greatly appreciated.

Dear Vicky,
This vase is Japanese Arita ware.
The mark reads: Hichozan 肥碟山 Shinpo 信甫 Zo 造 (Made by Hichozan Shinpo). It dates from about 1880-1900.
It's an unfinished vase, because the white areas normally have all kind of decorations.
See the picture of a Hichozan vase of mine.
Regards,
Martin.
