I'm trying to identify and date some antique Japanese brass temple items that I believe were confiscated and taken home by an American GI during WWII. The largest piece, an urn, is 9" tall. All pieces are solid brass. The 2 largest urns are very heavy. All show signs of use, some with extensive use. Complet photos are provided at the following link.

They were donated objects by the adherents　(family supporters) to the temple(s)
As of the datings,
0038 - Without dating
0045 - 1915
0057 - 1911
0081 - 1922

Thanks for the info. Where would these items have been made? The vases are very heavy, solid and beautifully crafted.

Also, there is writing on the bottoms. Any idea what the inscriptions say?

One thing is clear from the above"Nihonbashi-ku" place name, that these objects were taken from a temple located in current Chuo Ward of Tokyo (Central District). On the objects I can't see any makers mark.

Thought you might be able to help identify these items as well. Opened up another box, this time mostly chinese Antiques, from the same family. They moved back to Asia in the 1960s and collected Asian art.

- IMG_0290-0294: 15" tall and 10" wide at middle. Possibly late Qing Famille Rose ginger jar?

- IMG_0301-0310: 9" tall, 13" wide at middle and 10 1/2" diameter at top. 15 pounds.

- IMG_0314, 0318: 9 1/2" tall. Carved rom one piece of wood. Looks like a very, very old carved image of Buddha.

- IMG_0320, 0327: 7 1/1" tall with foo dog on top.

-IMG_0348,0350: 10 7/8" diameter deep plate of shallow bowl

- IMG_0353: 6-7" plates

- IMG_0354,0358: 7 3/4" bowl, 2 1/2" deep

- IMG_0372, 0374: 6 1/4" diameter, 3" deep bowl

- IMG_0362, 0365, 0367: 3 1/4" diameter, 2 1/4" deep porcelain box. Possibly Famille Rose for stamp ink?

- IMG_0382, 0392: Hollow copper Buddha bust 11 1/4" wide x 10 1/4" tall

- IMG_0438: Original watercolor on what looks like rice paper which has been mounted to board. The actual rice paper is 21 1/4" x 30".
