Posted By: Bill H Tue, Dec 10, 2019 The 2nd and 5th characters in the mark aren't clear, but otherwise it indeed does appear to be a zhuanshu (seal script) version of 'Made during the Xuande Reign of the Great Ming Dynasty" (Da Ming Xuan De Nian Zhi - 大明宣德年制). Bronze experts will have the final say on authenticity, but be aware that Xuande marks on bronzes constitute the most emulated marking of this type in the universe! |

Posted By: JoJo Tue, Dec 10, 2019 I was able to identify the piece as stained soapstone and not pottery/stoneware as first thought. Thank you all any way for your time. |
