Hello,
Any help with a ID’ing this Mark and age of this set would be truly appreciated. My mom told me it was “very” old but I don’t know.

The mark reads: Toseizan or 東正山 Zo 造 = Made by Toserizan. 1930-1940.

A totally fictitious made up name. Could be a person as well as a workshop / studio name.
