Subject:Japanese Cloisonne Baluster Vase
Posted By: jay chatellier Mon, Oct 21, 2019 IP: 73.139.6.15 Any help greatly appreciated. 24.5" high 6 lobe Japanese cloisonne baluster vase, each lobe decorated with a depiction of an Immortal. Unmarked excepting the symbol incised on the edge of the base at the rim as shown. The base as well as an interior collar are attached as separate pieces. Artist and or studio? Age, early/mid/late Meiji? Thanks for the look and your time, Jay

Posted By: Guy Wed, Oct 23, 2019 Reminds me somewhat of the work of Namikawa Yasuyuki from Kyoto but it bears no signature unless you read the inscription eventually as 'δΉ‹' or 'yuki'.
