Posted By: Sawsan Elzayyat Wed, Oct 16, 2019 IP: 45.243.136.160

I am looking for any information at all (venue, age etc) about this old (and quite dilapidated) wood figurine. Any help much appreciated.

I apologize for the quality of the photos.

Your statue seems to be Tsongkhapa(1357-1419)a great Tibetan master. It seems old but what age?

Thank you so much for the information, Remy! I wish I knew how old it was. I inherited it and I have no idea. The seat (base) of the figure has a very slight rectangular-shaped discolorotaion - as if a sticker of some sort had been affixed to it ...

Thank you again, Rémy. Wpould you happen to know if the figurine has any value at all, given its condition and the missing pieces?

Dear Sawsan,
I can be wrong but I don't think your statue has very much value, except religious value.
I wish I'm wrong!
Best regards,
Rémy
