Subject:Blue & White Teacup - please help with marks

Posted By: Bill H Wed, Oct 09, 2019 Your cup's cursive base-mark reads down and across from the top right as "Fang Gu Ruo Shen Zhen Cang", which is No. 2497 in 'The Handbook of Marks on Chinese Ceramics" by Gerald Davison, translated as "Imitation Antique of the Precious Collection of the Seemingly Old". This mark dates from the late Qing dynasty, which period ended in 1911. Keep in mind, many Qing marks were copied during the Republic Period (1912-49)
