維明命拾年歳次巳丑拾月壬戌朔越拾五日丙子　-
In the 10th Year of Minh Mang (1829)、Year of Earth-Buffalo、In the Month of October (Lunar) on the 1st Day of the Water-Dog Days,15 Days after the New Moon, in the 13th Hour.

皇帝若曰朕惟書敍五惇之典 -
Thus, We the Emperor Accept This to Record it According to the "Four Rites"

The text is a redundaant funeral eulogy for the late Princess Nhu Gia, the younger sister of the former Vietnamese emperor Gia Long (1762-1820), the aunt of reigning emperor Minh Mang (1791-1841)
