Any help identifying what I believe is a flask for serving sake... a tukkuri. Its very curious in composition..... the item is a hard porcelain type finish - the blue portions.... but on top of that is the decoration of the black and gold figures that are of a matte finish..... as you can see from the pictures it is very easy scratched off.
It appears to me to be quite old. It came down through decent from my great grandmother so acquired in the early 1900's. The family had business in the Far East trading profession during the 1800's.
