Subject:Japanese mark (1) on bowl
Posted By: Martin Michels Fri, Jul 26, 2019 IP: 84.26.211.226

As the regular guests of this forum know, my interest lies with japanese marks on (antique) ceramics.
This bowl has a mark I can't figure out myself, so I need the help of the more experienced experts with the Kanji and translation of this mark.
Of the right 3 Kanji I only recognize the middle one 山 : yama / san / zan.
Of the left 3 Kanji I think it reads as:
士 (ji / shi)
山 (yama / san / zan)
畆 (bo / ho)
Only: if this is a name like Shisanbo or Jisanbo etc., it makes no sense IMO.
So, anyone any ideas? Translation?
Thanks in advance,
Martin.
