Subject:Request help reading caligraphy on Japanese drawing
Posted By: Roger Thu, Jun 06, 2019 IP: 2601:281:c202:b68a:9

Hello All!
Here's another item I'd appreciate any information on. I'm told the artist is "Morikuni", but I have no idea if true. Also, I think this is an original work. Thanks again!

Insription reads,
楮は和名をかうぞといふ 此木の皮をがんひと云
紙を製す
Chō wa wamyou wo kōzo to iu Kono ki no kawa wo ganpi to ii kami wo sei su
Japanese name of paper mulberry is kōzo
The bark of this tree is called ganpi (goose bumps) and the paper is made of it.

I can't find anz indication of Morikuni on the picture.

With regards,
I.Nagy

Thank you once again! You really make this website a great resource!

I was wondering if you could do me a favor. Would you look at my post on the Kutani Bok-zan cup. I would love your thoughts on the writing inside the cup. Thank you!
