Subject:Tea pot and marks - help
Posted By: Paul Wilkins Sat, May 11, 2019 IP: 2a02:c7d:93f7:f000:2

Hello

I would be really grateful if anyone can identify the maker of this tea pot
I am sorry to say I don't even know if I have photographed the mark on bottom the right way up

Thank you very much and best wishes

Paul

It looks like a Watano mark: Watano 綿野 Zo 造 = made by Watano. Although the 2nd character of Watano is a bit sloppy. Date circa 1900-1920.

Might be Watano Genuemon (1830-1914) or Watano Kichiji (1859-1934), it's always hard to tell who.
Lot of information on the internet on both.
Regards,
Martin.
