Subject:Age & Style of Chinese Cabinet
Posted By: Joyce Life Sat, May 04, 2019 IP: 2600:1700:8e50:fb00:

This cabinet is a great conversation piece for it's beauty but I only know it's an old chinese piece.

Inscription in my rough translation,
柳緑更帯朝烟
桃江復含宿雨
芲落家僮未掃
鶯鳴山客猶眠
The green leaved willow trees were behind the mist
The red flowered peach trees were drinking water
The fallen flowers were not cleaned by the servant
The warbler was singing nicer than usual

The above is a citation from the poem titled "Pastoral enjoyments" from Wang Wei, poet, musician and painter during the Tang dynasty.
I hope an expert on Chinese furniture will give an answer to your quetions.

With regards,
I.Nagy

Your photos are a bit blurry but the manner of the lacquer work looks 20th c for sure, likely 1970's. In my opinion, the choice of poetry shows cultural revrence, which suggests the type of growing historical interest that occurred during the cultural revolution.
