This is a 1931 dated print of the original painting.The signature itself is illegible, but at the beginning of the long inscription the painter`s name and official position is inscribed.

Sugawara Tamechika, Chamberlain`s Office Staff with the Lower Fifth Rank at the Ministry of Ceremonial Affairs

菅 - Suga 原 H(W)ara
Painter`s name is Okada (Sugawara) Tamechika 岡田(菅原）為恭 1823-1864 Third son of Kano Eitai.
Tamechika painted series of pictures of Buddhist themes.
