Hi , I thought I d share what I think I know about this. Archaic bronze form ting or ding, a ritual vessel, with 'hidden' incised lei wen or cloud pattern and stylised dragons. I ve been given 2 broad periods , 'no later than 17th century' and ' no earlier than 18th' , one from the British Museum , the other an auction house so c.1700 perhaps. I ve noticed that the BM has things with similar decoration and bluish glaze dated 18th century and I ve seen similar style items online dated to the 17th. Size including carved wood and agate base and lid is approximately 14 "/ 35 cm. It has suffered damage in the past and been repaired. According to the previous owner it came from a temple originally.
