Subject:Identify wood type on chinese cabinet. Huanghuali?

Hi
I bought this chinese cabinet a long time ago and I just started to learn about the different types of wood used for chinese furniture.

Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks

It can get pretty complicated, in that there can be different Chinese names for boards taken from different parts of the same tree, and because some woods are subgroups of other woods rather than a different species. I very much doubt that this is huanghuali, if only because such a valuable wood would not have been used on basic reproduction furniture such as your lovely cabinet.
