Subject:Pewter tea caddy
Posted By: Marcus Bryant Thu, Jan 10, 2019 IP: 155.93.129.122

My grandfather recently passed. He was an avid collector of all sorts of things, but had a fad for tea caddies at one point. During WW2 he was stationed in Myanmar and his fascination for Asian art and items in general. I have attached 3 photos of a tea caddy he had in his possession, including a close up of what I assume to be the Makers mark. I have absolutely no intention of selling this item but would like to understand more about it. Would massively appreciate any help or guidance on where I could go for more information.
Many thanks.

怡盛 足銀 Yisheng Pure Silver

Yisheng 怡盛 (Harmoniously prosperous) is a rather popular company name in Chinese speaking countries incl. South-East Asian countries.
足銀 - Zuyin - Pure silver - Hallmark
(I hope it is not pewter)

With regards,
I.Nagy
