Subject:Two large Southeast Asian Screen Paintings
Posted By: George Garvin Sat, Dec 15, 2018 IP: 2601:681:4c01:417d:1

Attached are photos of two large painted screens, which I own and would like to sell. They are at least fifty years old, and were purchased by my parents in the early 1960’s in Bangkok. The Mountain Scene is approximately 55 inches high and a little less than 6 feet across. The River Harbor is about 48 inches high and 60 inches wide. Who is the artist? What is the range of value of the two screen paintings?

The paintings are Vietnamese.
Signature reads,
詩鍬 - Tho Thau (The handwritten character is the variant form of 鍬)This is a pseudonym - Poem tiller -
The other seal like signature is not clear enough to read.

With regards,
I.Nagy

Hello.
I quite like them but your photos are just dreadful. Sorry! The compositions are interesting but if anyone wants these you'll have to up the anti on the photos. They may not be worth loads but someone will certainly want them I'm sure. All the best

Thanks for the feedback. I had to reduce the file size of the photos for this site. Do you know of any dealers or auction houses that deal in Vietnamese art?
