The mark is Japanese and reads as: Tögen 陶源 Kinsei 謹製 (Tögen quality product). The characters are written from left to right and from top to bottom:
1 2
3 4
which means it is a modern mark, last part of the 20th century.

Togen is a fictitious name used by the Inoue family company also known as Inoue Shoten.

Regards,
Martin.
