Hello all

I am looking for a little help with this painting , Any Japanese script readers in here , any info on the artist or calligraphy would be great.

宇治川大合戦之圖 - Ujigawa Daigassen no Zu - Picture of the Battle at Ujigawa River
Signature,
一猛斎芳虎画 - Painted by Ichimōsai Yoshitora
Inscription on the left side,
佐々木四朗 高綱 - Sasaki Shirō Takatsuna
(Samurai commamder is shown racing across the River Uji atop a white horse to be the first to engage in battle - Battle of Ujigawa in 1184)

Utagawa Yoshitora 歌川芳虎 Ichimōsai = Pseudonym
Ukiyo-e painter active from about 1850 to about 1880

Your Japanese woodblock print is by Utagawa Yoshitora and is titled (using a translator) (宇治川大合戦之図 - Ujigawa daigassen no zu) "Uji River fighting figure" (佐々木四郎高綱 - Sasaki shirōtakatsuna).

Perhaps, I. Nagy can help a little with the translation.
