I would be grateful if anybody can tell me what Indian deity does this figurine represent.

Dear Alex this Indian deity is called Ballakrishna.Generally she's represented as a baby moving on his knees on the floor and more rarely(as is yours)on a pedestal his right leg up and his left
arm up.Balakrishna is always holding a ball of butter(why I don't know why, must do some research...)

Thanks to you I looked in the Internet and found some more information. This image of Krishna most of relevant sites name "Bala Krishna" but more often this iconographic type is called simply "Dancing Krishna".
Many thanks, Rémy, your answer proved to be very useful.

Dear Alex,Balakrishna is dancing after having stolen
by grief a ball of butter from his mother. That's the result of my research, rentable for you and for me... | Associations | Articles | Exhibitions | Galleries |
